Earthquake of magnitude 5.5 jolts Delhi-NCR; epicenter in U'khand

New Delhi: Strong earthquake of 5.5 magnitude on richter scale has hit New Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR), India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday evening.

The epicenter of the earthquake, which came at 8.49 pm, was Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand at a depth of 30 kms. The tremors were felt in Dehradun, Sonipat and Ghaziabad also.

The tremors were felt for around 5 to 10 seconds.
