An order has been issued to dismiss Bibhav Kumar, private secretary of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. This order has been issued by YVVJ Rajashekhar, Special Secretary, Vigilance Department of Delhi. In this order it was said that an FIR was registered against Bibhav Kumar in 2007 on charges of threatening and preventing a public servant from performing his duty.

Citing this, the appointment of Bibhav Kumar as Private Secretary was declared illegal and an order was issued to terminate his services with immediate effect. However, there is definitely a question regarding whether the Vigilance Department can remove the Chief Minister's personal staff in this manner or not. Earlier, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday expressed displeasure over the repeated filing of petitions demanding his removal from the post of Chief Minister after the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

The court said that once it has disposed of the issue and it falls within the domain of the executive, "repeated suits" should not be filed as this is not a James Bond film which will have 'sequels'.

Kejriwal government minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Rajkumar Anand has resigned from the ministerial post and party membership. Rajkumar Anand was handling the Social Welfare Ministry in the Arvind Kejriwal government. Rajkumar Anand said that there is no respect for Dalit MLAs or councilors in Aam Aadmi Party. Dalits are not given places in key positions. I am a person who follows the principles of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. If I cannot work for the Dalits then there is no point in being in the party.
