Office of Nitin Gadkari denies hiring 50 chartered flights for daughter's marriage

Nagpur: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's office, on Sunday, denied the media reports which said that 50 chartered flights are ferrying the VVIPs for the marriage of Gadkari's daughter in Nagpur.

Official statement released in this regard said, "Over the past 24 hours, only ten chartered flights have landed at the Nagpur airport. The reports published in media is baseless and mischievous."

Meanwhile, the list of ministers to attend the marriage ceremony of Nitin Gadkari's daughter Ketki contain names of BJP chief Amit Shah, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Prakash Javadekar, Shiv Sena chief Udhav Thackeray and BJP veteran Lal Krishna Advani.

Other VVIPs to mark their presence include RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Film actress and politician Hema Malini, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, NCP leader Sharad Pawar and Business tycoon Kumar Mangalam.

Ketki, the youngest of Gadkari's three children, will tie knot to Aditya Kaskhedikar, who works with Facebook in the US.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee are expected to attend the reception to be held in New Delhi on December 8.
