Around 46.83 per cent votes were cast till 1 pm on Saturday in the first phase of Jharkhand assembly elections in 13 constituencies, amid sporadic incidents of violence in some districts, officials said.

 Several Bollywood celebrities, including Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Lara Dutta, stepped out on Monday morning to vote for the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Almost 30 seats among this are currently held by the Saffron Party i.e., BJP, 12 by Congress and the remaining by other regional parties.
