Superstar Rajnikanth casts his vote, urges people to do alike

Chennai: After polling began in 232 of the total 234 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu, actors Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan and Ajith Kumar, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief Karunanidhi and chief electoral officer Rajesh Lakhoni on Monday cast their votes.

“It is duty of all citizens to exercise their franchise and all of us should vote,” said the superstar Rajnikanth.

“Higher polling percentage is good for the democracy and the people should understand this. Hence, everyone should cast their votes, letting good people come in power,” said Kamal Haasan.
