Haryana Polls: Babita Phoghat and Yogeshawr Dutt gets ticket from BJP

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released a list of 78 candidates for the Haryana Assembly Election. BJP has also given tickets to Babita Phogat and Yogeshwar Dutt.

This needs to be mentioned that Wrestler Babita Phogat and Yogeshwar Dutt had recently joined BJP. BJP has given ticket to Babita Phogat from Dadri and Yogeshwar Dutt from Baroda in Sonepat. List reads that there are 78 candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the list 38 MLAs has been given tickets, while the ticket of 7 MLAs has been cut. According to the list there are total 90 seats in the assembly in Haryana.

Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Haryana BJP President Subhash Barala. There was speculation about Yogeshwar Dutt joining the BJP even before the Lok Sabha elections. Yogeshwar Dutt won the bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics. Apart from this, he has also been awarded the Padma Shri. Yogeshwar Dutt has alos won the gold medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The dates of the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana (Election Commission) were recently announced by the Election Commission. Voting will be held on October 21 in Maharashtra and Haryana and counting will take place on October 24. The last date for filing nomination will be on October 4 and the withdrawal date will be on October 7. This is the first state election this year after the Lok Sabha elections. The term of the Haryana Legislative Assembly ends on November 2 and the term of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly ends on November 9.
