New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind today honored those who have done remarkable work in the field of digital governance. President Kovind today conferred the Digital India Awards. During this, President Kovind said that the Digital India Awards reflect the overall vision of the government to empower citizens to achieve their aspirations and make India a digital superpower.

During this, President Kovind said that this year is going to end now and we hope that the epidemic will also end soon. He further said that it would not be an exaggeration to say that the corona virus has changed the world in terms of social relations, economic activities, health care, education and many other aspects of life.

This has been possible only because the digital infrastructure has been strengthened in recent years.

This is the first time on the lines of Digital India Vision. The entire process of Digital India Awards is being done online. The National Informatics Center (NIC), under the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY). They organized the Biennial Digital India Award to promote innovation in digital transformation of e-governance and government service delivery mechanisms.

The entire process went online from the nomination for the award, its screening to the award ceremony. The Digital India Award is organized every two years by the NIC under the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
