PM Modi to meet FM Sitharaman to finalise Financial Relief Package

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled a meeting with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 12 noon on Friday. There can be a discussion on the relief package in this meeting. According to the information received, PM Modi will discuss the issues of dealing with Corona in the meeting. Also, a decision may be taken on another economic package.

A senior Finance ministry official said, "The financial relief package, given the dynamic situation, has been getting additions and amendments regularly. The PMO has been holding discussions with stakeholders and advisory bodies."

Officials of the Ministry of Finance will also attend this meeting with PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 12 noon on April 24.

It is being told that relief for MSMEs will also be discussed in this meeting. Along with this, PM Modi will also discuss farmers' income and agricultural crisis. It is believed that a second relief package could be decided in this meeting.

At the same time, the Modi government is preparing to give a relief package of Rs 20 thousand crore to MSMEs. The condition of this sector is very bad due to Corona lockdown.

Lockdown2.0: Current Situation in India

So far, 23077 people have been infected with the corona virus, while 719 people have died. As of late Thursday, 1,229 new cases of infection have been reported and 34 people have died. Currently, 16,689 infected patients are under treatment. So far 4,325 people have also recovered from corona.
