NIMS Chairman Tomar says Ramdev gave wrong statement on 'Coronil'

New Delhi: Baba Ramdev's partner left his side in the case of Patanjali claiming coronil drug for the treatment of corona. At the National Institute of Medical Science University (NIMS) in Jaipur, Baba Ramdev on Wednesday claimed to have tried the drug on corona patients.

No medicine trial done at NIMS:

Dr. BS Tomar, the chairman of the same university, said on Thursday night that no medicine trial in his hospital has taken place. On the other hand, the Rajasthan government has told health officials that Patanjali's coronil medicine should not be sold in the state.

Swami Ramdev gave wrong Statement:

Dr. BS Tomar said that the medicine which Baba Ramdev is claiming for clinical trial in NIMS hospital, nothing happened there. Baba Ramdev has given a wrong statement. He said that we used Ashwagandha, Giloy and Tulsi as immunity boosters. This was only to increase immunity, no treatment drugs. He said that I do not know how Baba Ramdev has claimed 100 percent cure. NIMS had no association with Baba Ramdev in making medicine.

Rajasthan Govt banned the sale of 'Coronil' in state:

Rajasthan government had prohibited the sale of Baba Ramdev’s corona medicine Coronil. After the objection of the AYUSH ministry to the medicine, the Rajasthan government took the first restriction. Ordering the ban, the government said that no Ayurvedic medicine can be sold as covid-19 epidemic medicine without the approval of Union Ministry of AYUSH.

Swami Ramdev made a big announcement on the occasion of the launch of the drug and said that the ‘coronil medicine’ will cure the patient completely within seven days. The drug recovery rate is 100% and death rates are zero.
