No Govt ever gave me any Award: Reel life Shri Ram Arun Govil

MUMBAI: Due to the Corona virus outbreak people are imprisoned and bored in their homes amid the enforced lockdown across the country. To overcome this boredom of people, Doordarshan has resumed telecast of many of its old programs.

Indian viewers who are home quarantined these days due to Corona virus Pandemic now had a great option to stay spiritual. There were a big news related to Ramayana’s broadcast.

The news was that the show has broken all the TRP records after the telecast started. Now, another news is shared by Shri Rama aka Arun Govil that he was never awarded for his role by any government.

No Govt gave me any award: Arun Govil

During an ongoing interview on Twitter, he was asked the question, 'Your contribution to the acting world is amazing. Especially in Ramayana. But you have not been awarded any award for Ramayana either…? In response to this question, Arun wrote- 'No government has given me any award, whether it is a state government or a central government. I am from Uttar Pradesh, but even that government has not given me any award till date. And even I have been in Mumbai for fifty years, but the Government of Maharashtra has not given any respect.

Ramayana on DD:

At this time, the telecast of Ramayana has been started on Doordarshan at 9:00 am and again at 9:00 pm. Byomkesh Bakshi has been allotted the 11 am slot. Mahabharat airs at 12 noon and 7 pm while Circus has been given 8 pm slot.
