Weather warning | Normal life, vehicular traffic disrupts due to Fog in UP

Lucknow: Fog has disrupted normal life and vehicular traffic for the second consecutive day on Saturday, at various places of Uttar Pradesh.

According to weather department, most parts of Uttar Pradesh are covered with a layer of fog, leading to disruption of normal life and vehicular traffic.

Due to intense cold waves and fog, dozens of trains, including Poorva Express, Purushottam Express and Farakka Express are behind schedule.

However, the Northern Railway (NR) official claimed that due to installation of 'fog pass' devices, the situation was much better than previous years.

He further said that trains all over the India use 6,940 such devices, out of which 2,648 devices are used by Northern Railway.

It is to be mentioned that fog and inclement weather has adversely affected the vehicular, rail and air traffic in Uttar Pradesh.

For the next few days, the cold waves and foggy conditions are likely to prevail.
