Uttar Pradesh ATS arrests nine suspected naxals in Noida

Noida: Nine men with suspected Naxalite links have been arrested here on Saturday by a team of Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

The six men were arrested from a house located at Hindon Vihar area falling in sector-47 in Noida. Other three were arrested by the ATS from different location in Noida.

According to police sources, weapons in bulk have been recovered including pistols, cartridges and gunpowder. One among the detained naxals is reported to be a bomb expert.

One among the nine men arrested is Pradip Kumar Singh who is the former People's Warrior Group (PWG) commander of Jharkhand's Latehar district.

According to sources, the naxalites were planning a massive terror attack in Delhi NCR area under the kingpin of Pradip Kumar.
