Farmers’ movement: Police strictness at Singhu border, tear gas shells fired

After lack of consensus between the Center and the farmers, the farmers have started marching to Delhi. The police, showing strictness, fired tear gas shells on the crowd of farmers gathered at Shambhu border from Fatehgarh Saheb, after which there was chaos there.

Let us tell you that in view of the farmers' protest, huge security arrangements have already been made on the border of Delhi. All the borders coming to Delhi have been sealed. A large number of police forces are deployed at  Border, Tikri Border and Ghazipur Border.

Apart from barbed wires, the police have also installed barricades, large cement blocks, containers and other barriers. Apart from making a control room, the police has also installed CCTV cameras on the Singhu border. The area is also being monitored with the help of drones. The police have also conducted mock drills several times. Section 144 is also imposed in Delhi till March 12. Delhi Police has also issued an advisory regarding coming from these borders.

Talks between the government and farmers that continued till late night on Monday remained inconclusive. The plan of the farmers is that they will first gather at the border near Delhi and decide about the further strategy at 3 pm. The government says that the talks will continue, while on the other hand the farmers are also ready for further talks. Farmers held a press conference and said that two years had passed since the government had promised MSP...a lot could have been done. The farmers said that we grow grains, the government has grown the crop of nails for us.

At the same time, common people are facing difficulties in commuting on the Singhu border due to police barricades. People have to walk long distances with their families. There is a jam situation from Gurugram to Ghazipur due to police barricades. Common people are facing a lot of problems.
