Make in India: 5 crore iPhones be made in India every year, 50 thousand to get employment

According to Bloomberg report, now Tata Group is planning to build a big iPhone assembly plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. In which there will be 20 iPhone assembly lines. Apart from this, 50,000 people will be given employment within the next two years. The target has been set to start this plant in the next one to one and a half years. The move will strengthen Apple's partnership with Tata, which already has an iPhone factory in Karnataka.

American technology company Apple has planned to manufacture 50 million iPhones in the next two to three years.

This will be 25 percent of its total annual production. This means that one fourth of the iPhones used in the world will be manufactured in India.

According to the report, currently Apple manufactures 200 million iPhones annually. Most of which is manufactured in China.

However, this picture has started changing in the last few years and now India's share in this construction has also started increasing. Actually, currently it is about 5 percent. Apple is continuously promoting its manufacturing capabilities in India. Taiwanese companies Foxconn and Pegatron, which manufacture Apple, manufacture iPhones in India. These companies are setting up their new plants in Bengaluru and Chennai and now Tata Group has also come forward in this manufacturing sector.
