The Egyptian Antiquities Ministry reported the discovery of 14 tombs at the Saqqara Necropolis, south of Cairo. These stone coffins made of stone are said to be 2.5 thousand years old. Usually mummies have been recovered from such coffins.

This news was full of fun as we rarely gets to see mummies. Saqqara Necropolis located 16 kilometers to the south of the Giza Pyramid. It is a part of the ancient city of Memphis. These are one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is also called the city of pyramids.

2.5 thousand years old coffins:

Talking about the coffin found in the excavation, the amazing art of painting is seen on it. Also, pictures made of hieroglyphs have been seen on the coffin. The ministry said in its statement that a high level of excavation was planned here with the hope that a troop of coffins would be found here.
