Rahul Dravid lauds fearless batting style of MS Dhoni

New Delhi: Indian Skipper, Rahul Dravid has recently applauded the batting style of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Popularly referred as 'the wall' by cricket fanatics around the world, Dravid was in chat with Sanjay Manjrekar during a podcast organised by ESPNCricinfo.

Captain cool, MS Dhoni has always been praised by people and experts for his brilliant leadership skills. The way he handles team in extreme pressure situations is commendable. Adding to the same, Rahul Dravid applauded his batting style. He stated, he really admires the way MS Dhoni bats specially at the end of the game. He remains fearless of the consequences and that's something great.

"You watch MS Dhoni play during the back end of a match when he was at his best, you always felt like that he is doing something really important to him but he is playing it like the result does not really matter to him"

"I think you need to have that or you need to train for it. It is a skill that I never had. The consequences of any decision mattered to me. It would be interesting to ask MS Dhoni that is this something that has come naturally to him or did he work on this during his career," he added.

Dhoni kicked off his career in International cricket in 2004 against Bangladesh. His ODI best is 183 which he made in 2005 while playing against Sri-Lanka in Jaipur's Sawai Maan Singh Stadium. He is the only captain to have lifted all the major ICC trophies.(50 over WC, T20 WC and Champions Trophy)

Chennai Super Kings led by him has lifted the trophy thrice in the history of Indian Premier League proving to be one of the most successful teams in IPL. In the year 2017, he handed over the captaincy of 50 over format to Virat Kohli.
