Mumbai: Maharashtra is the worst hit in the Corona crisis in the country. The state economy has suffered a lot due to the corona lockdown and the exposure of the most infected patients.

Therefore, to deal with this crisis, the Uddhav government of Maharashtra has announced a cut in its big expenses. Also, the state government has put a break for a few days on new development projects and new recruits.

The Uddhav Thackeray government has prepared some plans for Maharashtra to deal with the economic situation created by the Covid-19 crisis. The state government has made several proposals to cut expenditure. The government is constantly reviewing the ongoing schemes and setting their priority.

Proposal for these sectors:

It has been mentioned in the draft proposal that only 33% of the total budgetary allowance will be given to each department. The proposal states that every program should be reviewed and only necessary plans should be finalized.

Public health, drug administration, relief and rehabilitation, food and civil supplies will be given by the government. However, these expenses will be limited to corona and treatment related operating expenses.

No new vacancies in Govt sector for now:

The proposal states that the state is allowed to purchase emergency medical equipment. Apart from this, no new construction and development work will be started in the state. The works that are currently underway will continue.

No recruitment will be done in any other department except the Department of Public Health and Medicine.
