New Delhi: Today is the second day of Lockdown 3 implemented to control the spread of Corona virus. The central government has extended the lockdown for the third time, which will continue till May 17, given the rising figures of Corona patients. Railways are now considering running 200 special trains for the return of workers trapped in lockdown. So far, people stranded in other states with 6 special trains are able to return home.

COVID19 UPDATES: DAY2

The number of corona patients is still increasing at a rapid pace. According to Health Ministry data, more than 46 thousand people have been infected by corona in the country so far and more than 1500 deaths have taken place.

LIVE UPDATES:

-13 people, including two healthcare workers and a baby, test positive for COVID-19 in UP's Gautam Buddh Nagar; cases rise to 192.

-Seven die of COVID-19 in Bengal in 24 hours, death toll 68: Home Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay.

-67 Shramik Special trains with 67,000 stranded migrants run till now; 21 more such trains expected to run on Tuesday: Railways

-62 special trains run till now for domestic workers carrying about 70,000 travellers; 13 more such trains expected to run on Tuesday: MHA

-Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Nobel Winner Abhijeet Banerjee were discussed on the issue of corona virus. During this time both of them churned over the challenges of the economy, coming out of the Corona crisis.

-3900 COVID19 cases & 195 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

-38 more COVID19 cases & 5 deaths reported in Rajasthan today. Total number of cases in the state is now at 3099.

-People line up outside a liquor shop in Delhi's Laxmi Nagar. Delhi Government has imposed a "Special Corona Fee" of 70% tax on Maximum Retail Price of the liquor.
