Her resignation is believed to be the beginning of protests in the NDA. The Modi government at the Center is trying to pass three bills related to farmers in the monsoon session of Parliament.

Resignation of Harsimrat Kaur:

These laws include the Farmers' Trade, Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation Bill, the Farmers Agreement Act on Price Assurance and the Agricultural Services Bill.) The farmers are scared that the government is going to leave their production to the mercy of big companies.

After the enactment of these laws, the farmers will not get the minimum support price of their crops. Although there is a provision for guaranteed price but how it will be decided. It is not clear. Therefore, farmers are considering this law as anti-farmer.

After this law, the role of the Mandi Council will also end. This is the reason why farmers of Punjab and Haryana are openly opposing it. For this reason, the Akali Dal has also decided to go against the Modi government.
