New Delhi: Bihar assembly election can be announced today. The Election Commission has called a press conference at 12.30 pm today. The reason will be disclosed of press conference of the election commission. It is not yet known, but it is believed that the Election Commission can announce the dates of Bihar assembly elections.

A media report quoted sources as saying that Bihar may go to polls in three phases. Last time elections were held in five phases.

Bihar election during Corona Pandemic:

The Bihar assembly election this time will be the most different, unique and challenging. In the country's democratic history, as it will be the first election in the Corona era. Opposition parties opposed the first assembly elections due to the Corona crisis, but the Election Commission strongly denied it and said that elections would be held on time. Earlier, the EC had made it clear that Bihar Assembly elections and all the by-elections will be completed by November 29. Soon after, a two-member team of the Election Commission also visited Bihar.

During this tour, the team of Deputy Election Commissioner Sudeep Jain and Chandrabhushan Kumar also met in Patna and visited Bhagalpur. After this, it was believed that preparations for the Bihar assembly elections had been completed.

This is the first election in the country during the Corona crisis. So the Election Commission has also issued guidelines according to the Covid protocol. The number of polling stations has also been increased more than one and a half times.
