Winters Updates: IMD predicts Cold wave condition for next 3-4 days

New Delhi: The cold is wreaking havoc in many states of the country. Due to snowfall in the mountains, the cold is increasing. In the coming days, icy winds and cold will increase. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there will be severe cold in the coming three days.

Severe Cold in North India:

Due to this, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of severe cold in 6 states. The IMD has said that in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Western UP and Bihar, cold conditions will prevail for the next two days and cold wave will occur during this period.

Winter in Uttar Pradesh:

The Meteorological Department has said in the latest update that there has been no cold day anywhere in the northwestern region of the country, but in eastern Uttar Pradesh, it has been cold. It has been reported by the department that in the last 24 hours, the temperature has decreased by 1-2 degree Celsius. IMD has warned that cold wave may occur in the capital Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Meteorological Department has said that on Wednesday and Thursday, there is a possibility of strong cold wave in some areas of Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh. Cold conditions may prevail for two days in Bihar and tomorrow in some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, IMD has forecast thick fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on Thursday.

The IMD has expressed the possibility that frost could occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab in the next two days. Along with this, frost can occur in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
