On this matter, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement on Wednesday, saying, 'The way to entice sensational social media hashtags and comments, especially when done by celebrities and others, is neither accurate nor responsible. '

The Foreign Ministry's response came even as pop singer Rihanna, Climate Activist Greta Thunberg and US Vice President Kamala Harris's relative Meena Harris tweeted about the farmer movement.

Selfish groups are trying to put on agenda:

The Foreign Ministry has said that it is unfortunate to see vested selfish groups trying to implement their agenda on these protests and derail them. As seen on 26 January.
