New Delhi: The weather has changed once again in the Lahaul Spiti district including Rohtang Pass. The snowfall has started in the North Portal and Sissu of Atal Tunnel, including the Rohtang Pass, the tourist destination of Manali. Snowfall has been falling in the high altitude rural areas of Lahaul Valley since morning.

Tourist places of Manali, Rahaninala and Marhi have also been covered with light snow and the order of intermittent snowfall continues. Atal Tunnel is currently closed for tourists in view of snowfall. Tourists are allowed to reach Solanganala only.

Snowfall in Lahaul Valley:

Snowfall has been occurring in the higher reaches of the Lahaul Valley since morning, affecting vehicular movement. Four wheel drive vehicles are running. But the Lahaul Spiti administration has also advised local drivers to travel according to the circumstances. The Kullu administration also says that the movement of tourists on the Atal Tunnel will depend on the weather conditions. Seeing the snowfall falling, tourists are being sent to Solanganala only.

White sheet of snow covered Himachal:

The Kunalam and Shinkula passes including the Baralacha Pass have covered a white sheet of snow. Lahul's Lady of Kelang including the Shinkula Pass, Ghepan Peak, Koksar Jot, Baralacha, Kunjam, Chhota and Bada Jastri Glacier, the hills of Darcha, Nilkanth Jot have all covered the snowy mountains. On the other hand, all the hills including Rohtang have received mild snowfall.
