Pulwama: Hizbul Commander Riyaz Naikoo killed in encounter

Jammu/Kashmir: After the martyrdom of 8 soldiers, including Colonel-Major in Jammu and Kashmir, the army has started a major operation against the terrorists. An encounter is going on between militants and security forces in Avantipora of Pulwama district on Wednesday morning after several hours of search operation. Security forces have surrounded Hizbul commander Riyaz Naiku., he has benn killed by the army personnel.

According to the information, a joint team of 55 RR and CRPF of the army started the cordon search operation in Begpora, Avantipora on Tuesday night. As soon as the joint team of security forces moved towards the suspicious place, the hidden militants opened fire on them, after which the encounter has started.

Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant arrested and arms and ammunition seized from his possession in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. Militant killed in encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, Police informed.
