LIVE Lockdown3 Day3: Corona cases cross 49,000 mark in India

New Delhi: Today is the third day of Lockdown 3 implemented to prevent the corona virus. The central government has extended the lockdown for the third time, which will continue till May 17, seeing the rising figures of Corona patients. In the US, 2,333 people have died of corona infection in the last 24 hours.

The number of corona patients is still increasing at a rapid pace. According to Health Ministry data, more than 49 thousand people have been infected by corona in the country so far and more than 1600 deaths have taken place.

LIVE UPDATES:

- 13 new COVID19 cases have been reported in Chandigarh. The total number of COVID cases now mounts to 115.

-Maharashtra Govt tries to rope in private doctors to serve in COVID hospital.

-Tamil Nadu Govt increases liquor prices in the state. Hike of Rs. 20 in premium brand & Rs. 10 in local brand per 180ml.

-Total number of COVID19 positive cases in India rises to 49,391 including 33,514 active cases, 1694 deaths, 14,182 cured.

-Lockdown in Telangana extended till May 29: CM K Chandrashekar Rao
