New Delhi: As a tribute to the soldiers who fought valiantly in the Kargil war, President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday paid 20 lakh rupees for the purchase of equipment to the military hospital located here. This will help medical personnel to combat the covid-19 epidemic.

According to an official release, the President's contribution to the military hospital will be used to purchase units of PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirators). It is a state-of-the-art device to enable medical personnel to breathe during surgery and to protect them from infection.

Kovind donated from Army Hospital:

It will serve the larger purpose of caring for patients and protect the warriors who are fighting the invisible enemy. The statement said, as a tribute to the soldiers who fought valiantly in the Kargil war and made supreme sacrifices, the President gave Rs 20 lakh for the purchase of equipment to the military hospital (Research and Referral) located here.

This will help doctors and medical personnel to effectively combat the Covid-19 epidemic. Today is the 21st anniversary of victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War, which is celebrated as Kargil Victory Day.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday saluted the valour and grit of the Indian soldiers on the occasion of 21st anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas. He saluted the unwavering courage, patriotism. In addition, valour of Indian soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed every year to mark India’s triumph over Pakistan in 1999. Shah took to Twitter and said that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of India’s proud, valour and steadfast leadership.
