PM Modi sees President Kovind to discuss various significant issues

PM Modi met President Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan to discus several significant issues. This meeting came after PM’s surprise visit to Ladakh this week.

New Delhi: PM, Narendra Modi called President, Ram Nath Kovind today to discus issues of national and global importance. The two leaders saw each other at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The meeting came post PM’s surprise visit to Leh amid the high tension on India-China border. Post this meet, Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted a photo in which both of them appear discussing.

Narendra Modi paid a surprise visit to the soldiers in Ladakh to boost their confidence and moral. The violent clash that took place between the troops of two nation on 15 July escalated the tensions on border. Hence, Modi addressed the soldier on country’s expenditure on border Infrastructure. He ensured them that it has tripled over the years to ensure safety of each of them.

Here’s what more PM said-

“Now the spending on border infrastructure in the country has almost tripled. This has also led to speedy development of border areas including construction of bridges and laying of roads.”

“One of the biggest advantages of this is that now the goods reach you in a short time. The country is strengthening its armed forces at every level today, he added.”

PM also lauded soldiers for their exemplary bravery and gallantry. Therefore, he stated

“Your courage is higher than the heights where you are serving today. When the safety of the country is in your .hands, then there is a belief. Not only me, but the entire nation believes in you. We all are proud of you.”

“India is manufacturing modern weapons today. We are bringing modern technology from around the world for the armed forces.”

Post this visit, PM Modi also assured the nation stating ‘ our country is in safe hands’.
