Nirbhaya Case: Hearing on Death Warrant in Patiala House Court Today

New Delhi: Nirbhaya rape and murder case convicts tried all the process to postpone the hanging date. Today, Patiala Court will be hearing the case again and there are chances to give a new date for punishment.

'Nirbhaya Gang Rape Case' convicts tried to postpone the date twice. In such a situation, on the one hand, Nirbhaya's family is in the hope of justice, on the other hand, the four convicts are constantly adopting the methods of avoiding hanging. In this case, Patiala House Court can issue a new death warrant on Monday for the punishment of Nirbhaya convicts.

Patiala House Court, will be hearing the petition of Nirbhaya's parents today. They asked for a new death warrant. Earlier, the case was adjourned by Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana till February 17 as the top Court had to pronounce its judgement on convict Vinay Sharma's petition against rejection of his mercy plea on February 14.

Nirbhaya’s Mother said convicts’ Lawyer challenged her:

“Mujrimom ke vakeel AP Singh ne mujhe aaj anguli dikha kar challenge kiya ki ye faasi ab anant kaal tak tal gayi hai (Today, the convicts AP Singh pointed fingers at me and challenged me that he will get the hangings to be postponed till eternity),” Nirbhaya’s mother when court postponed the date.

Asha Devi, Nirbhaya's Mother said many dated came and go, but not a fixed date yet announced. Still, we will try our best and will not lose hope. Victims' lawyer are trying to save them. They are using the lw in wrong way.

A 23-year-old physiotherapy intern who came to be known as “Nirbhaya” was gangraped and savagely assaulted on the night of December 16, 2012, in a moving bus in South Delhi. On 28 December, at 11 am, her condition was extremely critical. Till her last breath she was fighting for life but on 29th December she died.
