New Delhi: Corona cases are increasing in the country. Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday informed that the double mutant variant has been found. This has increased worries about the infection. The ministry said in a statement that genome sequencing and analysis of samples from Maharashtra found mutations in the virus, which did not match the already existing variants (VOCs).

Sudden corona spike in India:

There have been several cases of new variants of the Corona found in Britain already in India. As well as cases of new variants found in South Africa and Brazil have also been reported. According to data released on Wednesday by the Ministry of Health, 47,262 new cases were reported in the last 24-hour period.

There have been so many cases since November last year. With this, the total number of cases has crossed one crore 17 lakh. India ranks third in the list of countries most affected by Corona. America is on the first and Brazil on the second.

According to the Ministry of Health, during the last 24 hours in the country, the highest number of 275 people died in one day this year due to infection. The number of people who died due to infection has crossed one lakh 60 thousand. Due to increasing cases, many states have announced ban on big gatherings in the wake of Holi.
