Coronavirus: Sudden increase in active case; India sees 47,262 new cases

New Delhi: In the last 24 hours, 47,262 new cases of Coronavirus have been registered across the country. At the same time, after the death of 275 more people, the number of people who died of corona infection in the country has increased to 1,60,441.

Increase in COVID cases:

According to the new figures of the Union Health Ministry, the total number of corona infection cases in the country has been 1,17,34,058. The number of active cases is also increasing continuously. After the arrival of new cases, the number of active cases in the country has been 3,68,457.

Corona Updates in India:

At the same time, 23,907 people recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health, the death rate of coronavirus in the country is 1.37 percent. Active cases have now been 2.96 percent of the total cases. Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Tamil Nadu have the highest number of new cases. Only these states accounted for 81 percent of the new cases on Tuesday.

Vaccination Campaign:

So far, 5,08,41,286 doses of vaccine have been applied under the ongoing vaccination campaign in the country. 23,46,692 doses were applied across the country on Tuesday. The central government has announced on Tuesday that from April 1, all people above 45 years of age will be able to get vaccinated. Earlier, only those suffering from serious diseases above 45 years were eligible to get vaccinated.

The number of people getting infected with new variants of Coronavirus in the country is also increasing. The total number of people infected in the country has increased to 795 due to Corona's Britain, South Africa and Brazil variants.
