Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Defence Expo 2020. The Defence Expo is held in Lucknow near Vrindavan Yojna. Defence Expo-2020, a flagship biennial event of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, one of the largest events of its kind is being held for the first time in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh for 5 days from 5th to 9th Feb 2020.

While addresing the event of Defence Expo 2020, PM Modi said, "Those who are aware of subjects like defense and economy surely know that India is not just a market. India is an immense opportunity for the whole world. "

UP is going to be one of the biggest hub: PM Modi

Uttar Pradesh is the largest state of the country, it is going to be one of the biggest hub of defense manufacturing in the country in the coming time.

In such a situation, the presence of this first defense expo of the new decade is a matter of happiness in itself.

This time more than a thousand defense manufacturers and 150 companies from all over the world are part of this expo.

Apart from this, defense ministers and hundreds of business leaders from over 30 countries are also present here.

Wrong use of technology and terrorism or Cyber Threat, these are a big challenge for the whole world.

In view of the new Security Challenges, all the Defense Forces of the world are developing new technology. India is not untouched by this.

There are two major requirements for the development of modern weapons - the high potential of research and development and the production of those weapons.

Our government has made it a major part of our national policy in the last 5-6 years.
