New Delhi: Heavy rains have also caused tremendous havoc with the growing corona cases in Delhi. Due to the severe rains, there was heavy jam in many places including Delhi-Gurgaon on Wednesday. The rains led to waterlogging on the roads and all roads were closed. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Delhi-NCR due to heavy rains. According to the latest information, the Minto Bridge has also been closed by the police after the rain.

Waterlogging in Delhi:

In view of these conditions, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an alert on Wednesday morning, according to which, due to waterlogging near the WHO building on the Ring Road, the route leading to the IP flyover from Bhairo road has been closed.

Along with this, the road going from Chirag Delhi towards Nehru Place has got jammed due to malfunctioning of the bus near Savitri Cinema. However, the traffic police has advised to avoid this route.

Heavy rain in Delhi NCR:

Traffic Police has issued an alert in Gurgaon. According to information received from the Gurgaon Traffic Police, there has been water logging on the road near Narsingpur. Police has appealed people not to use this route.

Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the regional forecast center of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), said, "Delhi also received heavy rainfall on Tuesday." About 20 mm of rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung and Lodhi Road meteorological centers here. ”Gurugram also received torrential rain on Wednesday.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) had already predicted the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Delhi and surrounding areas on Wednesday i.e. today. However, the intensity and distribution of rainfall is expected to decrease from 23 July. After Thursday, the speed of rain can stop.
