Hardeep Puri informs, 'Airfare for domestic flights will be fixed now'

Puri said scheduled domestic flights will reach the pre-covid-19 level by the end of this year. After that they would have no hesitation in removing the fare limit.

New Delhi: The upper and lower airfares on domestic flights will remain in force for three months after November 24. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri gave this information on Thursday.

Indian Airways Fare:

The ministry first implemented this limit on May 21 through seven bands till August 24. It was classified according to travel time. It was later extended to 24 November.

Puri said scheduled domestic flights will reach the pre-covid-19 level by the end of this year. After that they would have no hesitation in removing the fare limit. Puri said, "Although we are extending it for three months right now, by the end of this year if we see a significant improvement in the situation and we will be reaching the pre-covid-19 level, then if civil aviation My colleagues of the Ministry would like that if it is not implemented for a full three months, then certainly I would not hesitate to remove it. '

Limits of flights ticket fare:

Domestic flight services resumed on May 25 after a gap of about two months to prevent the spread of the corona virus epidemic. On May 21, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced seven bands with upper and lower limits based on travel time for tickets.

The first band consists of flights whose flight duration is less than 40 minutes. They have special low and high rent limits. The second, third, fourth and fifth bands of the higher fare range have flights with duration of 40–60 minutes, 60–90 minutes, 90–120 minutes and 120–150 minutes respectively. The sixth and seventh bands have flights of 150–180 minutes and 180–210 minutes.
