New Delhi: Today is the 14th day of lockdown phase 2. The lockdown period will end on May 3. In a regular conference of Health Ministry officials informed the recent updated data of India during corona pandemic.

IMCT found that the administration is conducting extensive testing so that COVID positive cases are identified in the initial stages itself, Joint secretary MHA informed.

Health Ministry briefs media and informed that 684 COVID-19 patients people have cured. The recovery rate is 23.3%: Health Ministry briefs media. No new COVID-19 cases were reported in 17 districts in the past 28 days. 84 people have been recovered from the infection.

Plasma therapy is being experimented, however no evidence that this can be used as a treatment. National level study launched by ICMR to study efficacy.

In this health bulletin Lav Aggarwal briefed media and clarifies that plasma therapy is totally experimental and till date no approved therapy found for covid19. He further added, "Until ICMR concludes its study & a robust scientific proof is available, Plasma therapy should be used only for research or trial purpose. If plasma therapy is not used in proper manner under proper guideline then it can also cause life threatening complications."
