COVID19: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launches DRDO Mobile lab

The Central government is taking important steps to cope with the infection of coronavirus. Similarly, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has inaugurated a mobile viral research and diagnostic lab.

New Delhi: The Central government is taking important steps to cope with the infection of coronavirus. Similarly, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has inaugurated a mobile viral research and diagnostic lab. It is produced by the Defense Research and Development Organization. Through this mobile lab more than 1,000 samples screening can be done in a day.

Defence Minister informed about this on his twitter handle and congratulated DRDO for this big achievement. He wrote in his tweet, "Inaugurated the first of its kind mobile lab named Mobile Virology Research and Diagnostics Laboratory (MVRDL) developed by DRDO_India in a record time to speed up COVID-19 screening and R&D activities. This mobile lab has the screening capacity of more than 1000 samples daily."

Further he tweeted and Congratulated the SRDO team. "I congratulate team DRDO for developing this mobile lab in Hyderabad. The Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces are working tirelessly to strengthen India’s capacity and capability in winning war against the menace of COVID-19.", He tweeted.

Lockdown2.0: Current Situation in India

The number of coronavirus patients has reached beyond 20 thousand. So far 21403 Corona cases have been reported, in which 681 people have died. At the same time, 4257 people have recovered. In the capital Delhi, the number of corona patients has crossed 2 thousand. While 47 people have lost their lives due to corona virus.
