New Delhi: The number of new cases of corona infection in the country on Wednesday was less than 50 thousand. In the last 24 hours, about 45,000 new cases of infection have been reported and more than 500 have died. With this, the total number of infected people in the country has reached above 92 lakhs, while the number of deaths has gone to more than one lakh 35 thousand.

524 people died in last 24 hours:

According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, 44 thousand 489 cases of infection have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours while 524 people have died. At the same time, 36 thousand 367 people have been discharged from the hospital after recovering from infection.

It is worth mentioning that after the latest data came out, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 92 lakh 66 thousand 706 while the death toll has reached one lakh 35 thousand 223.

Apart from this, there are four lakh 52 thousand 344 active cases while 86 lakh 79 thousand 138 people have been discharged from the hospital after recovering from infection.

85,488 active cases in Maharashtra:

Maharashtra has the highest number of active cases at present, with 85,488 active cases. This is followed by Kerala with 65,234 cases and Delhi with 38,287 active cases. Significantly, this is the 19th consecutive day when less than 50,000 new cases of corona infection have been reported. Earlier on November 07, more than 50 thousand new cases of corona infection were reported in the country.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 13,59,31,545 samples have been tested in the country till Wednesday, out of which 10,90,238 tests have been done yesterday. On Wednesday, it was informed by the Union Health Ministry that the rate of new cases in the country has come down to 6.84 percent.
