Corona Vaccination: More than 32 lakh people inoculated in India in a day

A dose of 32,53,095 corona was given in one day, which is the largest figure till date. Earlier, on March 16, 30,39,394 doses were given in a single day.

New Delhi: The government has increased the pace of giving Covid-19 Vaccine to the people amidst increase in new cases of Corona in India. The Health Ministry has broken all the records so far in the data given on Tuesday. A dose of 32,53,095 corona was given in one day, which is the largest figure till date. Earlier, on March 16, 30,39,394 doses were given in a single day.

India breaks vaccination record:

So far, 4,84,94,594 corona doses have been given in the country. So far 78,59,579 health care workers have been given the first dose. While 49,59,964 second dose is given.

82,42,187 frontline workers have been given the first dose of Corona while 29,03,477 have been given the second dose. 42,98,310 first dose has been given to people from 45 years to 60 years. 2,02,31,137 doses have been given to people above 60 years.

Sudden increase in corona cases:

New cases of corona in India are increasing rapidly. On Tuesday, 40,175 new cases came while 199 people died due to corona infection in the last 24 hours. The highest figures are increasing in Maharashtra. The top 5 states are Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka. In the last 24 hours, 24,645 new cases were registered in Maharashtra, 2,299 in Punjab, 1640 in Gujarat, 1,525 in Chhattisgarh and 1,445 in Karnataka.

While Maharashtra saw 58 new deaths, 58 in Punjab, 12 in Chhattisgarh, 12 in Kerala, 10 each in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and 7 in Delhi. These are the states where most cases of deaths from corona are being reported in the last few days.

Talking about the last one week, 40,175 new cases were reported on 23 March, 46,951 on 22 March, 43,846 on 21 March, 40,953 on 20 March, 39,726 on 19 March, 35,871 on 18 March and 28,903 on 17 March.
