Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced complete lock down in the country. All the industries including entertainment, tele soaps and films have been closed for a while. On television, audience is not able to watch any new episode of serials. Mean while on high public demand, Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana is all set to make its comeback on National Television.

There was time when people used to watch Ramyana on Tv and this was the essential part of their daily routine. In the time of complete lockdown for 21 days, Doordarshan has decided to telecast the Ramayana starring Arun Govil, Deepika and Dara Singh in lead roles.

Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, took to Twitter to announce the good news. He wrote, "Happy to announce that on public demand, we are starting retelecast of 'Ramayana' from tomorrow, Saturday March 28 in DD National, One episode in morning 9 am to 10 am, another in the evening 9 pm to 10 pm. @narendramodi @PIBIndia @DDNational."

After this audience is quite excited about this. Most importantly the age section of 40-60. They are recalling their memories from childhood.

This is going to be like reliving the history again as everyone is at home and will watch the RAMAYANA together with family. CEO, Prasar Bharti also tweeted that 'Heartfelt thanks to the Sagar Family for this service to the Nation during this moment who took immense effort to mobilise their resources and made available content to Team @ddnational in Mumbai on a war footing.'
