Celebs responds to PM Modi’s tweets on influencing the citizen’s to vote

Mumbai: With the nearing general elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tagged various Bollywood celebrities and prominent personalities to motivate and raise voting awareness among people for the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

PM Modi requested several superstars like Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, AkshayKumar, AR Rahman, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Deepika Padukone and many others with a personalized message on social media.

Interestingly, all of his tweets ended with a punch line exclusively meant to attract the youth and the movie lovers. From using the reference of Gully Boy to Uri: The Surgical Strike, his tweets forced many stars to reply to PM Modi.

Film director and producer, Karan Johar, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and music maestro AR Rahman were the first ones to reply to the PM's tweet.

Akshay wrote in his reply, "Well said @narendramodi ji. The true hallmark of a democracy lies in people’s participation in the electoral process. Voting has to be a superhit prem katha between our nation and its voters :)"

Johar too responded, "Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi, we as a fraternity are dedicated to the cause of creating high voter awareness and will make sure every endeavor is made to communicate the power of voting for a solid and Democratic INDIA! Jai Hind!"

AR Rahman too made an agreeing reply to the PM as he said, "We will ji ..Thank you."
