Karachi: Hafiz Saeed, the chief of Pakistan's banned outfit Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), said his organisation will not allow the destruction of Hindu temples and other holy places of non-Muslims in the country.

“It is the responsibility of Muslims to safeguard the holy places of Hindus,” Hafiz said while addressing a meeting in Matil town recently.

He also rejected allegations that his organisation is promoting extremism in Thar area of Sindh, which borders India, by opening seminaries in the poverty-stricken arid region, reports Dawn.
