Earthquake rocks Japan coast, no damage to live or property

An earthquake of 6.5 magnitude hit eastern coast of Japan on Friday causing no major damage either to live or property

Tokyo: An earthquake of 6.5 magnitude hit eastern coast of Japan on Friday causing no major damage either to live or property.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the tremor was estimated to be ten-km deep.

  • Minor shock was recorded in the Tokyo region.

  • According to the agency, a slight change can be observed in the coastal region.

Earlier, Japan was struck by two high intensity earthquakes that gave more than 17000 aftershocks and took the lives of more than 50 people. It also caused huge damage to houses and property.
