UP Election 5th Phase Polling: Nearly 54% voters turnout recorded till 5 pm
Voting for fifth phase of Uttar Pradesh Elections begins; 692 candidates in 61 assembly constituencies across 12 districts in fray.

UP Election 2022 LIVE: Voting for 61 seats in 12 districts of the state on 27th February 2022 under the fifth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections (UP Election 2022) today.
Voting from 7 am to 6 pm. For this phase, 692 candidates are in the fray for all the 61 seats. Voting in Amethi, Prayagraj, Sultanpur, Gonda, Chitrakoot, Bahraich, Pratapgarh, Shravasti, Rae Bareli, Kaushambi, Barabanki districts. 2.25 crore voters in this phase. Of these, 1.20 crore are male, 1.05 crore are female and 1727 are transgender voters.

The Samajwadi Party has complained by tweeting that fake votes are being cast at booth numbers-35 and 37 of 259-assembly seat of Prayagraj district.
On behalf of Samajwadi Party, Naresh Uttam Patel and Rajendra Chaudhary have reached the Election Commission with their complaint regarding the attack on the party candidate in Kunda, Pratapgarh. A written complaint has been given to the Election Commission in this matter. The attack has been blamed on the supporters of Raja Bhaiya's party Jansatta Dal.
