Mahoba/Lucknow: The day was dry and sweltering but an announcement by the Central government to send a water train to parched Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh brought a smile on the face of every common man.
The happiness of the natives of Bundelkhand could not last long after they came to know that their state government has refused to take the help of the Centre and the water train sent was totally waterless.
Munna, a resident of Bamrara village in Charkhari block in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh, said the situation in Bundelkhand is known to everyone. Around 70 per cent of hand pumps and sometimes the situation turn ugly when people fight for water which often happens.
Neglecting the ordeal of all such natives of drought hit Bundelkhand, the Central and Uttar Pradesh government have indulged in the twitter war over the issue.
