Mahoba: A student from Srinagar in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh was sent behind the bars after he posted inappropriate comments about the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on social networking site Facebook.
Vedant Gupta was detained on Tuesday after he made an abusive comment about the CM on a Facebook post by former district general secretary of Mahoba Ajay Raj. Raj lodged a complaint against Gupta in Srinagar police station.
“A case under sections 153 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against the culprit,” said Superintendent of Police (SP) Mahoba Gaurav Singh.
