It’s bad news for Team India. Hardik Pandya, who was injured in the match against Bangladesh, has torn his ligament.

Pandya's injury was earlier being described as minor and it was being said that he would join the team after missing a World Cup match. But, now it seems difficult for Hardik Pandya to return to the field in the league stage of the World Cup 2023.

There is news that his ligament has been torn, it may take him 2 weeks to recover from this. Despite this, the team management is thinking of bringing him back in the knock-out stage instead of replacing him.

Actually, according to a report in Times of India, Hardik Pandya has suffered a grade-1 ligament tear in his ankle. Due to this, after New Zealand, he may miss the next matches against England and then Sri Lanka. A BCCI source has said that the medical team led by Nitin Patel is monitoring Pandya at the National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru.

Earlier his injury was considered minor. Now it seems that he has suffered a ligament injury. This type of injury usually takes at least two weeks to heal. NCA will not release Pandya before his injury heals. The medical team has told the team management that Pandya is expected to return to the field soon.

Team India management does not want to rush the return of Hardik Pandya. The source said that Team India is currently in a good position in the tournament. Therefore, Pandya will remain in NCA for rehab. A decision will be taken next week on Hardik's playing in the remaining World Cup. In such a situation, speculations are being made that he will go straight to play knock out.
