We need to bring Population control Act: Giriraj Singh

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Giriraj Singh on Saturday said that increasing population has become a challenge for us. He said, "If we want to stand with the developed nations, then we have to bring a population control law - a strict act that will apply to everyone in this country no matter what religion they follow."

World Population Day:

He informed, 'To control infant mortality in the state, 1,820 New Born Care Corner, 180 New Born Stabilization Unit, we established 82 Sick New Born Unit in the state.'

Recently, several programs have been started in the state so that infant and maternal mortality can be controlled. With this view, Central and State Government conducted many programs.

Giriraj Singh said this on World Population Day. First World Population Day was celebrated on 11 July 1989, when the world population had reached 5 billion at that time, the purpose of celebrating this day is also to implement effective policies and measures to deal with population related problems and challenges.

Meanwhile, Corona virus cases are increasing in the country. Thousands of new cases are coming up in the country every day. More than 20 thousand corona virus patients are appearing in the country. According to covid19india.org now more than eight lakh corona patients have appeared in the country.

According to the Health Ministry, as of the morning of July 11, 8,20,916 corona virus patients have been confirmed in the country. With this, 515386 corona epidemic patients have also been cured.
