New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on Tuesday, decided to cancel the retest of Class 10 mathematics exam.

A CBSE official said that experts have analysed the exam trends and found 'zero' impact on class 10 maths exams.

The board had announced that the re-exam of Class 12 Economics will be held on April 25, while the Class 10 Mathematics re-examination will be carried out in July, but only in New Delhi and Haryana.

The CBSE is facing a hailstorm of rebukes and criticism after it announced that two papers of class X and XII will be re-conducted on account of their being leaked earlier, with the victims admitting the incident has shaken their faith in the school board.

Parents and students in unison dubbed the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) “incompetent” and flayed it for “playing with the future of the students” by re-conducting the maths and economics exams for Class X and Class XII respectively.
