Negative RT-PCR report mandatory to enter Uttar Pradesh: CM Adityanath

While many have eased travel restrictions, you still need a negative Covid-19 test report to travel to a number of states and union territories

As states are witnessing a drop in Covid-19 positive cases after almost two months, administrations are easing lockdowns and other curbs. Unlike after the first wave of Covid-19, many states are being cautious and easing the curbs in a phased manner.

Negative RT-PCR report mandatory to enter UP: 

 After the reduction of corona cases in Uttar Pradesh, movement from other states has increased. Corona cases are increasing rapidly in many states of the country. In such a situation, the risk of third wave of corona has increased. Now in the meantime, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision. It has now been made necessary for the people coming to Uttar Pradesh to have a negative report of Corona.

Any passengers found with symptoms and not carrying a negative RT-PCR report will only undergo an RT-PCR test.

According to the latest guidelines, issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on June 9, many states scrapped the RT-PCR test requirements.
