Real face of UP Police: Cop sets record of recovering 100 lost kids

Lucknow: Brushing aside the 'dark' image of the Uttar Pradesh Police, Bhadohi Station House Officer (SHO) Suneel Dutt Dubey has set a unique record of uniting 100 lost children with their families.

The cop, who has been leading the 'Operation Talash' campaign extensively, has served in districts like Meerut, Bagpat, Pratapgarh, Allahabad, Kaushambi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. He is currently posted in Bhadohi district.

The police officer, who was direct selection to the post of Sub-Inspector in 1989-batch, completed the milestone by uniting a 13-year-old child named Avinash with his family, based in Gopiganj village of Bhadohi.

The kid had gone missing last year in December last year. His father had lodged a missing complaint in Gopiganj Kotwali on December 8, and the Suneel Dutt Dubey finally traced him out on Sunday from the office of an organisation in the Shantipur region of the district.

Before coming to Bhadohi, Suneel had recovered 90 lost children while serving in various districts.

Significantly, after the Nithari serial murder case was exposed, some strict rules were formed for the safety of children. After the strengthening of rules, Uttar Pradesh Police also started to register children's missing FIRs.
