New Delhi, September 29, 2025: Yatharth Super Speciality Hospitals, a leading healthcare provider in North India, marked World Heart Day with a spirited two-kilometer walkathon, “Chalta Rahe Mera Dil,” at its Model Town facility in Delhi. The event, flagged off by Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar, combined community health awareness with a major advancement in cardiac care — the inauguration of the hospital’s state-of-the-art Cardiac Cath Lab.

The program began at sunrise with a Zumba session, energizing participants before they embarked on the walkathon. Designed to promote heart health and encourage an active lifestyle, the event also spotlighted Yatharth Hospital’s expanded capabilities in cardiology.

The newly launched Philips Azurian Cardiac Cath Lab is the first of its kind in North and West Delhi, enabling a wide range of advanced cardiac procedures and ensuring timely treatment for patients in the region.

Speaking at the event, Bhumi Pednekar expressed her support for the initiative. “It was truly inspiring to see so many people come together to prioritize heart health. Simple lifestyle changes, like daily walking, can make a huge difference. I am proud to support Yatharth Hospital in spreading this important message, especially with the launch of their Advanced Cardiac Cath Lab,” she said.

Highlighting the hospital’s vision, Mr. Yatharth Tyagi, Director, Yatharth Group of Hospitals, noted, “Events like this not only raise awareness but also bring communities together. With our advanced technology at the Delhi facility, we are reaffirming our commitment to world-class cardiac care.”

Dr. Dhiraj Jhamb, Director and Senior Consultant of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery at Yatharth Hospital, underscored the need for preventive care. “Heart disease remains one of the leading causes of death in India, but it is largely preventable. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and timely check-ups are essential in reducing risks,” he said.

By blending community engagement with medical innovation, the “Chalta Rahe Mera Dil” walkathon underscored Yatharth Hospitals’ dual focus on preventive health and cutting-edge treatment, strengthening its role as a trusted healthcare partner in the capital.
